Mirror Making/Telescope Building Pages
On just about every Tuesday night since January of 2006 we have been meeting at Gerry Kocken's workshop. It started out with 8 people learning how to grind telescope mirrors. From there it has taken on a life of its own. Not only do we grind mirrors, we build telescopes, repair and colimate members scopoes, refurbish antique telescopes, and work on just about anything else telescope related. All club members are welcome to stop on out and see what is going on. Have a scope that is giving you problems? Bring it out and let us know what is wrong with it. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get dirty. We will show you what to do and help guide you but you will do some of the work and gain some pretty useful knowledge along the way.
